Shifts for Phase II

  • Student participation in distance learning is required.

  • For quarter 4 students will be graded on effort & participation

  • Teachers will continue providing daily practice but this practice will now be housed on Google Classroom for grades 3-8 as well as some 2nd grade classrooms. This platform will allow teachers to communicate directly with students via chat and students will be able to virtually "turn in" selected activities.

  • Beginning April 27th teachers will hold daily live meetings with students.

  • Blended learning daily requirements will remain the same.

  • K-2 program will remain the same with the addition of live lessons.

  • Students will be able to take Accelerated Reader (AR) quizzes, but these will not be graded.

  • Khan Academy will be added as a supplementary math program in grades 3-8 to provide video tutorials for new standards. â€‹â€‹

California Department of Education requires students to participate in distance learning. We want to provide the best experience we can for students, while being mindful of the overall situation we all must navigate.

We understand there are different situations that all of our families are in. If your child is capable, we would love to see them participate in our daily Zoom meeting.

If this is not possible, please reach out to us. We want to know how best to support you and your child. This will not affect their grade. We are merely looking for their best effort in the activities assigned.
